New in Stores: “Selo Zelenoe” Baked Milk
With its charming countryside-style packaging, it was impossible not to try products from the “Selo Zelenoe” brand. We picked up their baked milk — and the result was even more pleasant than expected.
In the past, people rarely drank fresh milk as it was. Instead, they slowly baked it in the oven, then added it to meals or drank it warm. Milk prepared this way keeps longer, has a higher fat content, and develops a richer, fuller taste.
The baked milk from “Selo Zelenoe” reminds us of that traditional method — with its natural aroma, warm creamy color, and soft, slightly sweet flavor. You can make baked milk at home, but it takes at least 6–7 hours. That’s why buying it ready-made is much more convenient. If you’ve never tried baked milk before, you definitely should at least once — you’ll like it.
Packaging
The milk comes in an eco-friendly cardboard carton. The cap opens easily, and the convenient spout allows you to pour without spilling. The size is compact — even children can pour it themselves with ease. What we liked most is the shelf life: once opened, the milk should be consumed within 3 days. This indicates that the product contains no preservatives.

Taste and Ways to Use
The baked milk has a smooth, creamy taste and a warm beige color. It is slightly thicker than regular milk but very pleasant. There is no unusual smell or aftertaste.
You can drink it on its own, add it to tea or coffee, or use it in baking and pancake batter. Not everyone on our team usually drinks milk, but almost everyone liked this baked milk. Especially when used for pancakes — it gives them a distinctive, richer flavor.
